A Life Plan Community (also known as a continuing care retirement community or CCRC) offers Independent Living as well as a full continuum of senior healthcare services on one campus. Presbyterian Home and Retirement Community Quitman offers Independent Living in cottages, cluster homes and villas. Care services include Supportive Living, Memory Support, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.

When is Skilled Nursing necessary?

Skilled Nursing is commonly needed after a serious illness or injury. The following are some conditions that often require skilled care for seniors:

Will Medicare pay for Skilled Nursing?

Presbyterian Home and Retirement Community Quitman is Medicare-certified. With a qualifying hospital stay, Medicare typically covers days 1-20 of the Skilled Nursing stay. A Medicare-set daily coinsurance rate will be assessed for days 21-100. Medicare payment rules are very stringent and vary depending on a number of factors. How do I become an Independent Living resident at Presbyterian Home and Retirement Community Quitman?

When you decide to make Presbyterian Home and Retirement Community Quitman your new home, there is an easy application process to complete. The application consists of two parts:

Financial Qualification
Wellness Health Application

An application fee of $300/single or $400/couple is paid at the time of application and is a non-refundable fee to cover the processing of your application.
